J.R. experienced firsthand the dedication and sacrifices of our caregivers. He deeply valued their commitment to serving the children and often took the time to connect with them, hear their stories, and offer encouragement.

About The J.R. Ketterer Award
To further celebrate J.R.’s legacy, Chariots will annually present the J.R. Ketterer Award to a Chariots caregiver who exemplifies his servant heart, humility, and love for the Lord. This individual will be nominated by fellow staff, leaders, and the children themselves, recognizing their extraordinary commitment and sacrifice. The recipient will be honored with a certificate and a cash gift to encourage their continued dedication.

- $5,000: Provide annual salary and benefits for one home leader in Kenya
- $15,000: Provide the annual benefit for all Kenyan staff children school fees
- $30,000: Covers one month’s salary for our entire Kenyan staff
- $50,000: Provides a year of comprehensive benefits for all Kenyan employees
- $90,000: Funds three months of salaries for our dedicated Kenyan team
